My first impression of CEBU island.

語学学校の課題で「セブの第一印象」をスピーチしろ。っていうのがあったのでメモ書き程度に残しておきます。数ヶ月後に見返したら「こいつ、酷い英文書いてるな」とか思えるようになっていたいものです。

Speech Draft

My first impression of CEBU is its weather is hot and humid Seasons , and some other cities are very progressive , not the country side. And many people have are cheerful and very kind. I never thought I can live here for six month before I came here.

When I got off the plane , I have almost said that “It’s very hot and humid here!” I felt strongly that the weather is completely different from Japan now. In Japan , this time is autumn.

I know Philippines is in the tropical zone by reading a book , or some articles in the Internet. But I have not experienced it in my past. Even this is my second time to visit philippines but I feel “It’s my first time."

After getting of the plane , I could see many things things through out of the taxi’s window when I was on my way to our apartment. At first , I thought “Wow!! this is CEBU island!! I think beaches and seas here are beautiful……umm……wait,wait,wait……where is the beautiful beaches??”

Of course , I have seen a lot of sea but this is not a beach , just a port. I was informed lately about the beaches in Mactan Island. CEBU Island is more urbanized than I thought. There are big shopping malls and many clean restaurant and commercial building. I realized that Philippines economy is growing up every day and every time.

On the other hand , I could see slums , beggar and street children. Moreover I heard that there are crimes in this city. I think the number of crime in this city is more than Japan.

Some economist usually say that Philippines is a developing country in contrast with developed country like Japan.I could see many aspect of CEBU in the early stage. Of course , there were many good and bad aspects. I experienced culture shock at first.

Finally , I want to say that “ I like here.” Because I like Philippines people. I noticed there are many kind and cheerful people here. I want to talk to them and make strong Friendship.

I want to study hard in one-to-one English for six month. And improve my English skill here strongly.
